Our New Sanctuary

Open Gardens for Neighbors to Enjoy

Top-Quality Landscaping

The internationally respected SWA Group will landscape the project. SWA Group has designed award-winning Bay Area projects and recently produced the innovative "green roof" on the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.

Gardens Open to Neighbors

Much of the property surrounding the surface sanctuary will be dedicated to gardens. Our gardens will be open daily to our neighbors for quiet contemplation, providing a peaceful oasis for all to enjoy. This will be the only such space in the neighborhood.

landscape plan

A sample landscape design from SWA Group proposes adorning the property with ornamental trees, evergreens,
a reflecting pool, and many flowering plants.

Among the flowering plants being considered for the gardens are rosebushes, camellias, flowering cherry trees, and Yulan magnolias. Drought-tolerant plantings will also be incorporated.

wall alongside of boulevard way
A wall is needed as an acoustical barrier to traffic passing by and to provide the peace and serenity of a sanctuary. It will be attractively designed and will have curved or stepped-back alcoves for street-sideplantings. The landscape design includes a sidewalk that extends all the way to Warren road, bordered by trees, shrubs, and layered, multi-colored beds of flowers. This picture represents the general type of plan we are considering. The final plan has not yet been selected.
